Brittney R. Dobbins

Brittney Dobbins is an Of-Counsel at Davis Bozeman Johnson Law within its Complex Litigation Team. She focuses her practice on litigation matters and client counseling in entertainment, intellectual property, music, technology, employment, and general business and liability matters on behalf of individual and corporate clients. She also structures and negotiates entertainment transactions for artists, songwriters, actors, influencers, producers, publishers, and athletes in the music, television, film, and sports industries.

Before starting her practice, Brittney worked as an associate of Richard S. Busch, a Billboard Top Music Lawyer based in Los Angeles, for whom she handled litigation and counseling for some of the biggest stars and creative minds in music. As a multi-award-winning lawyer, Brittney has been featured in magazines, such as the Top 100 Attorneys, and received recognition from Best Lawyers (Ones to Watch in Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law), The National Black Lawyers (Top 40 Under 40 list for California), and The National Advocates (California's Top 20 Employment Lawyers under the age of 40). Brittney is also a member of some of the most prestigious organizations in her field, the Recording Academy (Grammy Awards) and ForbesBLK.

Brittney is motivated by building value and setting and meeting goals. She is a trusted team player who can lead and sustain performance. You can find Brittney teaching yoga or singing at an open mic night in her spare time.

Brittney has been a regular guest lecturer/panelist at various Universities, such as the University of California, Los Angeles (Intellectual Property and Business Law in the Music Industry and Music Industry 104A) and the University of Southern California (Introduction to the Music Industry). She also appeared as a morning news guest on San Diego CW6 News in 2015, discussing gender equality in the workplace.
